Frequently asked questions

Will I see changes on my other devices too?
Yes. Your mailbox is stored centrally at Microsoft. Whether you read, answer or delete an email in the browser, in Outlook on your computer or on your smartphone, the change is visible everywhere.
An email is missing from the «Deleted Items» folder as well. Is it lost?
Not necessarily. Open the «Deleted Items» folder. Above the list there is a link «Recover items deleted from this folder» that lets you restore items that were already removed. Microsoft usually keeps these items for 30 days. Your IT team sets the exact period.
I have to sign in again in the browser every time.
On your own computer, answer the question «Stay signed in?» with «Yes». On shared or public computers, choose «No» and sign out via your profile picture at the top right when you have finished.
