At the foot of the Matterhorn, a Zermatt family operates two holiday houses with different characters. Haus Eva has a modern alpine style with views of the Matterhorn; Haus Paradies is traditional and cosy, oriented towards families and groups. Both houses lie on a sunny elevation in Zermatt and are connected to the village centre via their own 100-metre tunnel. Until now, the two houses had separate websites, which was confusing for guests and did not position the brand jointly. The goal was to bring both together into a coherent presence under the shared brand umbrella EvaParadies.

The design comes from our agency partner Nelaya GmbH; technical lead, implementation, live deployment and ongoing operation are with us. Technologically the site runs on Contao 5.3 with a custom theme we developed to Nelaya's specifications. As Contao Premium Partner since 2007, we know the platform from its first version to today's Contao 5, which enables the right migration decisions in a consolidation project of this kind.

The consolidation was the greatest conceptual challenge for our agency partner Nelaya. Both houses have their own personalities that should neither be blurred nor overemphasised. The site is build so that each house has its own area with matching visual language while at the same time being experienced as part of the shared EvaParadies offering. The central navigation, the booking system and the wellness area are unified for both houses, while the detail pages carry the respective personality of each house. A custom content element we developed for Contao allows the editorial team to maintain recurring layout patterns for both houses efficiently, without needing a separate template for every new page.

The site is fully bilingual in German and English, which is a requirement for a Zermatt holiday offering with an international audience. The booking connection to the tourism system Toubiz is set up separately per house, so guests can enter the correct booking flow according to their preference. We have been looking after the site since launch with maintenance, updates and targeted further development. The project shows how two grown web presences can be woven together technically and editorially into a new shared brand presence, without losing the individual strengths of the individual houses.
